Susan Brooks-Young will be attending this very important FCP meeting this coming Saturday. If anyone else from the San Juans can attend that would be excellent!
Attached is the DRAFT Agenda for our very important January 7 Meeting at the Norm Dicks Government Center in Bremerton, WA. Our Leader Kari Ulatowski will not be able to attend as she has a prior commitment, so we will move the Vigor/Martinec Issue to a later meeting. Also, because of the WSF Winter Schedule, the earliest Susan Brooks and our San Juan Islands members can arrive is noon, so we will not be making any votes before they arrive.
However, we will still have a full agenda with discussions on the Pt. Defiance-Tahlequah run, the results of the Connecting WA Task Force that the Legislature & Governor wish to put before the voters, and how we will need to lobby for adding more new ferries into that plan. We hope to also arrange with Mayor McGinn’s Office to have two meetings
Please bring your calendars, your ideas, a few dollars for printing more buttons, and maybe a small blanket because we all know it takes a while to warm up the chambers. This will be the most important meeting of the year for good ferry service into the next decade.
